At the recent PTO picnic at ISK, our GIN students teamed up with Canadian NGO Me to We to raise funds to build wells here in Kenya. Me to We has an office here in Nairobi and does amazing work building schools and wells throughout the country. We offered a water walk where participants could try walking for 400 metres with a 20-litre jerry can, to get a sense of what many African women do (for an average of 6 kilometres) every day. We raised approximately $260 at the picnic and are planning to do more fundraising for water projects this year. It was great to work with the Me to We team. Cora also did some face painting for NHS and Brian's Habitat for Humanity students ran a brick toss game.
