A day in Tianzifang...

Yesterday was a national holiday here in China, so we decided to explore the Tianzifang area of the old French Concession. It's a part of old Shanghai with lots of small alleys and lanes. The Lonely Planet describes it as a "warren" of alleys, crammed with boutiques and coffee shops and bars. It's quite trendy and yesterday it was very busy because of the holiday. Despite the crowds, it was lovely to wander around the area and explore. We finished out the day with dinner at drinks at a popular cafe called Kommune and it was fantastic.
