Three new foodie experiences in one night...

There is no end to discovering new food and drink experiences in Shanghai. This city is full of fascinating restaurants, bars and speakeasys and you have to enjoy them while you can because so many places open and close frequently. Last night we went out on the town with our friends Brad and Eileen and went to 3 new places that were excellent. We started off at Tock's Montreal deli on Henan Road and ate amazing Reuben sandwiches with good poutine (cheddar and not proper cheese curd but the fries and gravy were delicious and we're pretty sure cheese curd would be impossible to find here in China). Then on for dessert at Mr. and Mrs. Bund where we sampled four different desserts including their famous lemon & lemon tart (amazing!). Last stop: a new speakeasy called Shrine with an interesting and cozy ambiance and lovely cocktails. Shanghai... land of gustatory bliss.    :)
