The Bund! And a tour of the art deco Fairmont Peace Hotel...

Despite pouring rain, we made our way down to The Bund yesterday and walked along the promenade before enjoying an hour-long tour of the art deco Fairmont Peace Hotel. Opened in 1929 and built by Victor Sassoon, this hotel has been lovingly restored and is a masterpiece in terms of design and architecture. We loved learning about the design of the building and its fixtures and look forward to going back to hear the jazz band play soon.
