As part of our African literature unit, we had the opportunity to skype with Kenya's best-known author, Ngugi wa Thiong'o, on Thursday, March 28th. Dr. wa Thiong'o stayed up until midnight in California to talk with us about his work, the memoir our students are reading (
Dreams in a Time of War) and Kenya's current political state. Despite some glitches with our internet connection (Karibu Kenya!), the session was amazing.
