Rock Dunder: a favourite Kingston-area nature spot!

We just love this little conservation area, with its pine forests, lush green leaves and gorgeous lookout. Today we were treated to a close encounter with a laid-back porcupine who munched away on some leaves while we stood just a few feet away. Very cool.

Grand Canyon Adventures!

I was so lucky last week to travel to Arizona and Nevada with my wonderful friends to hike around Sedona and in the Grand Canyon, and then to spend a night in Las Vegas. Despite a major heat wave and lots of excessive heat warnings, we had a wonderful time and the scenery in the Grand Canyon was amazing. It was wonderful to be down there, off on the Tonto trails with no one else for miles around. Beautiful.

Beautiful summer fun...

The weather has turned into sunny, gorgeous, perfect summer weather, and we've been taking advantage of that by cycling around Kingston, enjoying beer on local patios, and driving down to the County for a day of exploring and swimming at the Dunes. Fun times!

Back to Ontario!

It's been awhile since our last post because we were busy wrapping up school for the year and jetting back to Ontario to celebrate Hannah's graduation on June 8th. What a wonderful day! We've been enjoying time with family, beautiful blue skies and lots of fun outside. It is good to be home.
