Global Issues Service Summit 2013...
For three days (February 21 - 23), the ISK campus was a hub of activity as 235 delegates came from all over Africa and the Middle East for AISA-Global Issues Service Summit 2013. What an incredible experience. Our whole family was immersed in planning this event for the past year and it was amazing to see it all come to fruition. Spencer West's opening keynote was absolutely inspiring and Cassandra Lin (featured here with the ISK elementary Pride Leaders' group) was also phenomenal. Justin Bedard's keynote on day 2, followed by the Kenyan panel keynote in the afternoon, was also amazing. Throw in fantastic workshops, expert panels, simulations and much more and you can picture three days of energy, activism and inspiration for everyone to make our world a better place. Wow!

Delivering school supplies & soccer balls to our Maasai partners...
On this past weekend (Feb. 3 and 4), we traveled down to Amboseli National Park with our friends Devin and Sue Skiman-Jones to deliver school supplies and soccer balls to the Ilkengarre Maasai School. We were able to meet Daniel's new 2-month old baby, Eunice, and surprise Daniel with Arsenals soccer balls (his favourite team). The school supplies were purchased by Devin and Sue's daughter, Kyra, through funds raised in her photography business, as well as by Devin and Sue. It was fabulous that they were able to deliver the supplies themselves, and we had a wonderful visit with our Maasai partners and friends.
