These glorious memories were preserved through the original efforts of Joe Korey and later efforts of Dan Korey.

This excellent original Lavender/Callison/McDonald family film footage was captured on 8mm film equipment and stored in canisters until discovered 50 years later.

These rustic videos represent the best attempt at weekend filmmaking using the technology of the day by Brian Lavender, Dave Short, Sean Swartz and Rob Newman, best pals from the Grandview/Donevan days. It's over an hour of short films - some pay homage to common filmmaking tropes and others are aimed at completing school projects in a creative and fun way.

The weekend filmmakers continued their efforts - even remaking one of their most promising tales - plus creating others that were aimed at archiving specific events and activities in the school community.

This impromptu tour of Doug and Sadie's Haliburton home (under construction) captures some decidedly Canadian accents in a first-person narrative of life as it was in 1988.

Take your chances with these lengthy and unedited original videos of the Lavender/McDonald family Christmas gatherings. Video was new and experience was limited. Awkwardness is just part of the fun.
